Between my daughter not sleeping well the past few days, me coming down with a bit of a head cold, meeting a new boss at work, and being “Deputy Marshall” for my church’s Vacation Bible School program all week, you’re all lucky this strip is even semi-coherent. Don’t ask for continuity. My brain would a’splode.
Okay, yes, I missed the update last night.
No, we’re not away on vacation.
No, VBS is over, so no responsibilities at church.
Full disclosure: After putting the kiddos to bed, I spent the evening watching (the Comedy Central edit of) Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle with the Eponymous Neaner over a plate of jalapeño poppers, and then played GuildWars with a glass of Juicy Juice’s Harvest Surprise. Finished the Asura quest leg of Eye of the North, in case you were wondering.
Went to bed, reading the first chapter and a half of Pattern Recognition by William Gibson before doing so.
Had a fitful night, perhaps recognizing on some unconscious level that I had unfinished business to attend to. When I awoke this morning, I rolled over, looked at the delightfully disheveled Neaner next to me, and uttered my first words of the day: “I forgot to post a new comic last night.”
…Is it too late to plead the fifth?
No, I didn’t intend to take another week off. But I seem to be having some issues with the crossroads of WordPress 2.6, ComicPress 2.5 and ComicPress Manager 0.9.5… (sigh). Stand by, friends, and don’t give up on me…
UPDATE: Huzzah! Don’t quite know what caused the problem, but I still managed to figure a way around it. More comic-y goodness will be on the way later in the week!
