So, before any of you asks, the answer is yes, I saw the new Star Trek movie. And I thought it was a boat-load of awesomesauce! From the moment I got all teary-eyed within the first 10 minutes of the film, I knew I was gonna be in for a ride. Fantastic acting, nifty plot, plenty of humor, and brilliant direction all tied together very nicely. I was gonna point out some of the performances, but really there was not a weak spot among any of the primary cast. Urban’s take on McCoy, though, was particularly poignant. Between this film, Lost, Fringe, and more, I think J.J. Abrams may have supplanted Joss Whedon as my favorite writer/director in Hollywood. Sorry, Nean.
