I know I’ve avoided being overtly political for a few months now. Thought it might be good to let you all know that I haven’t gone soft.

If you need a refresher, Cole was first seen in this strip, and this one. Finally gave him a name tonight. He should be thanking me, despite the fact that he really comes off as a jerk in tonight’s strip. Gotta give a little to get a little, Cole.

By the way, Linh’s experience is nothing like my own personal experience. My part-time job is at a church, not a grocery store. Couldn’t be more different. Ahem.

Sorry about missing last week’s update, there, folks. An impromptu Memorial Day session of Guitar Hero took up my evening. ‘Twas a good time. And my spare time has been taken up with another side-project I’ve been working on. I’m about to reveal it to the world, so cross your fingers. Unless you severely dislike me and hope I fail, in which case, I would ask you why you’re reading my comic strip. Isn’t that kinda like the Star Wars fanboys who spend hours upon hours scouring the footage of Episode I to find a new reason to hate Jar-Jar?

At last! Again, my most sincere apologies to all for the long drought between comics, here. Between massive bouts of sicknesses and technological mishaps, it’s been a long month. And not in a good way, I assure you. Anyway, here’s to hoping that I can get back on schedule. Wish me luck, and have a happy 2009!

If the art looks a little bit different, that’s because it is! For Christmas, the Eponymous Neaner (a.k.a., @jacksvalentine, to my Twitter friends) got me a drawing tablet for my computer! Whee! Still learning how best to use this thing, so expect the art quality to be slightly fluid over the next few weeks/months/epochs.
